Michele Siekerka, President of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association will share the growing impact of outmigration on business.

The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) President, Michele Siekerka, will be joining the Central Jersey Think Tank on Thursday, June 9th to talk about the growing impact of outmigration on today’s business economy. Michele will be speaking about the results found in the NJBIA report Outmigration By The Numbers: How Do We Stop The Exodus.

According to the NJBIA report, outmigration results in the loss of 75,000 jobs, 11.4 billion lost economic activity and 4.2 billion in lost labor income. In the NJBIA Outlook Survey, 62% of business owner members revealed that they would not open another location in NJ if they were considering expanding. The issue of outmigration needs to be addressed to New Jersey business owners.

The event will take place at The Renaissance in Ocean Township on Thursday, June 9th from 8:00am to 10:00am. The talk will last approximately 30 minutes. Think tank portion of the event will follow from 9:00am to 10:00am, where business owners will break into groups to share business challenges and goals they hope to accomplish.
