Ocean Twp. Man Indicted For Murder Of Missing Woman

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A grand jury returned a 16-count indictment on a man charged with murdering a missing woman, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday.

Ronald Teschner was charged in December with the murder of Jacqueline Terrulli. The victim has been missing since their Ocean Township house burned down Sept. 12.

  • first-degree murder
  • first-degree felony murder
  • first-degree robbery
  • two counts of first-degree unlawful possession of a weapon
  • second-degree disturbing human remains
  • second-degree robbery
  • second-degree arson
  • second-degree certain persons not to possess a weapon
  • third-degree aggravated assault
  • three counts of third-degree theft
  • third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance
  • third-degree resisting arrest
  • fourth-degree resisting arrest

Paterson police found Teschner in Terrulli's vehicle Sept. 13, a day after the fire. The vehicle had various items belonging to Terrulli, including clothing, shotguns, jewelry and lawn equipment, the MCPO said. He was also charged that day with assaulting a police officer.

Tescher was charged Dec. 11 with murdering Terrulli, disturbing her remains and arson. Authorities haven't found Terrulli's remains.

The suspect told an acquaintance he "dealt with" his housemate who has been missing since their home caught fire in September, according to the case affidavit. Read more: Disturbing Details On Murder Of Monmouth County Woman: Affidavit

Authorities are keeping Teschner in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. He faces life in prison without parole if convicted of murder.
