An unidentified person was hit by a train in Long Branch Saturday night, suspending service in the area for an hour.
Officials tell NJ.com the trespasser was hit and killed just east of the Elberon station. No injuries were reported to the crew or other passengers on board the North Jersey Coast Line train traveling from Long Branch to Bay Head.
The victim has not yet been identified.
