PERSONAL-TOUCH(R) CELEBRATES VETERANS THIS MONTH BY PROVIDING INFORMATION TO HELP VETS STAY AT HOME
Personal-Touch helps vets stay at home

Personal-Touch Home Health Services of New Jersey, (www.pthomecare.com), which has partnered with the VetAssist® Program of Veterans Home Care NYJ LLC (http://www.veteranshomecare.com), is recognizing all veterans this month to thank them for their dedication and efforts to our country. Personal-Touch and The VetAssist Program helps veterans and surviving spouses determine if they might be eligible for VA benefits, which can help pay for home care services.
“Veterans deserve help for their service to our country and for those needing a little help at home it is available, but finding out how to get that help can be an overwhelming experience,” said Sandy Fromm, Administrator, Personal-Touch Home Health Services of New Jersey. “The Vet Assist Program and Personal-Touch can help vets and their spouses with this process.”
Personal-Touch Home Health Services is dedicated to providing individualized comprehensive home care services and committed to helping people feel good again. Personal-Touch provides a variety of home health care services by insured, bonded, criminally checked and drug screened Registered Nurses and CHHAs (certified home health aides) to patients any time of day or night. Personal Touch services include: medication management, senior care, companionship, housekeeping and homemaking, personal care, and live-in and overnight sitter services at hospitals or nursing homes. Personal-Touch serves the New Jersey counties of Essex, Bergen (lower), Hudson, Middlesex (upper), Monmouth, Ocean and Union.

The VetAssist Program is designed especially for wartime veterans or their surviving spouses who meet certain medical and financial requirements, and who need help with activities of daily living. Any veteran with a minimum of 90 days of active duty, with at least one day during wartime and an honorable discharge qualifies for benefits.
Fromm added, “Personal-Touch’s mission is to meet the needs of all patients. We offer quality services in a cost efficient manner, regardless of diagnosis. Whether it is a convalescence period or caring for a chronic or terminal illness, most patients wish to be home, surrounded by their family and friends. The VetAssist Program is run by Veterans Home Care, which was founded in 2003. The program brings home care to disabled elderly veteran families (including surviving spouses) who otherwise couldn’t afford it.
