EATONTOWN, NJ — If police approach your child this summer, it might not be a bad thing. Eatontown police are participating in "Operation Chill," where police can reward children with a "ticket" for a free 7-Eleven Slurpee for good deeds or positive behavior.

Examples of ticket-worthy behavior include wearing a bike helmet, participating in community activities and organizations, picking up trash, deterring crime, observing pedestrian crosswalks and more.

Operation Chill allows participating law enforcement throughout the US and Canada to reward kids for good behavior. The 7-Eleven program is designed to reduce crime and enhance relationships between police and youth. The tickets are good for a free 12-ounce Slurpee at any participating store.
