Salvatore Is One Of New Jersey's Highest-Paid Superintendents

Long Branch superintendent Dr. Michael Salvatore ranks 26th on New Jersey list of the highest-paid superintendentsand principals. Salvatore had a $200,516 salary before this school year, according to the Department of Education.

Some would say that's money well-spent. The New Jersey Association of School Administrators named Salvatore the state's 2019 Superintendent of the Year on Nov. 6. Salvatore was previously named one of three Regional Superintendents of the Year for New Jersey.

The NJASA honored Salvatore for his work with personalized learning for students, and putting a focus on transformational education, according to the organization.

Salvatore became superintendent of Long Branch Public Schools in April 2011.
