Seabrook Hosts Black History Month Celebration with Live Music and More
A highlight of the festivities was a dynamic performance by Chuck Lambert, one of New Jersey's premier jazz and blues musicians.
Seabrook, an Erickson Senior Living community in Tinton Falls, celebrated Black History Month with two vibrant programs held on February 10 and 18 in its Independent Living and Continuing Care neighborhoods. Residents and team members enjoyed an engaging lineup of activities that honored culture, history, and community.
A highlight of the festivities was a dynamic performance by Chuck Lambert, one of New Jersey’s premier jazz and blues musicians. With more than 60 years of “blues time” to his name, Lambert has performed alongside legendary Blues Masters such as John Lee Hooker, J.B. Hutto, and the iconic B.B. King.
In addition to live music, Seabrook partnered with local Black‑owned businesses for the event. Attendees enjoyed cookies provided by Lay’s Café and Catering LLC and took advantage of complimentary 15‑minute chair massages offered by students from the Elite Touch Institute in Shrewsbury. Guests also participated in a Black History Month trivia challenge for a chance to win signature juice blends from Griffy’s Organics, along with gift certificates redeemable for a free wellness shot or latte at the business’s Asbury Park and Long Branch locations.
