Seabrook and Monmouth University Team Up to Help The Center in Asbury Park
Make more than 200 sandwiches for pantry
More than 35 Monmouth University School of Social Work students and Seabrook residents gathered at Seabrook, an active continuing care retirement community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, on April 8 and made more than 200 sandwiches for The Center for Asbury Park’s pantry.
Students participated in the volunteer effort as part of a project for the graduate social work class “Social Work with Older Adults,” taught by Professor Christa Hogan. The sandwich-making project is only one of many volunteer efforts that Seabrook residents take part in each year. In 2015, residents served thousands of volunteer hours both on and off campus.
