On April 16, more than 15 Seabrook employees enjoyed running on the boardwalk, volunteering for a good cause, and beautiful weather at RunAPalooza, a fundraising event which benefits Special Olympics of New Jersey and the Jersey Shore Dream Center.
For the past few years, staff from Seabrook, an active continuing care retirement community in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, have volunteered their time handing out water to runners at the popular event that includes the Asbury Park Half Marathon, Jersey Shore Relay Marathon, and Jersey Shore 5K. This year, employees also participated in the 5k and relay marathon.
“It is a wonderful way for our employees to give back to the community and enjoy a day of fun and fitness,” said Executive Director Todd DeLaney. DeLaney participated in the relay marathon with Associate Executive Director Paula Digerness, Campus Security Supervisor Catherine Hipko, Sales Associate Kristin Phillips and Practice Administrator Lisa Cymbaluk.

In addition, more than ten employees, friends and family members volunteered at Seabrook’s table that distributed water to runners. The table was organized by the Seabrook Erickson Way Values Committee, a group of employees who work to improve the community-at-large one project at a time.
