Shark Sighting Off Monmouth County Beach: Swimmers Ordered Out Of The Water Briefly
Swimmers are allowed back in now, shark was last seen heading north towards Long Branch, police say.
Deal police ordered swimmers out of the water late this morning after a six-to-seven foot shark was spotted 100-yards offshore from the Deal Casino, according to the police department's Facebook page.
"All swimmers out of the water until further notice," the post said..
Swimmers were allowed back in the water after an hour, when no more sightings occurred. The shark was last seen heading north towards Long Branch following a school of dolphins, police said.
