Red Bank Stand With Ukraine Rally/Prayer Gathering Friday

State Sen. Vin Gopal will host a prayer/information gathering for Monmouth County residents to learn how they can help Ukraine.

This Friday, state Senator Vin Gopal will host a prayer and information gathering for Monmouth County residents to learn how they can “Stand With Ukraine."

The informal gathering is open to all and will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Riverside Gardens Park in Red Bank. The park is located by the Navesink River on West Front Street in Red Bank.

“The news we see coming out of Ukraine gets more heartbreaking by the hour and my Legislative District 11 office is receiving many requests from people who want to know how they can help,” said Gopal. “At the same time, it’s inspiring to see the bravery of Ukrainian citizens in their fight for freedom and for their democracy.”

Gopal said the unprovoked war in Ukraine is an attack on democracy everywhere and that Ukrainian citizens are fighting for all democratic nations, as well as their homeland.

Gopal is a Democrat who represents in Trenton these following Monmouth County towns: Long Branch, Eatontown, Colts Neck, Freehold Twp. and borough, Red Bank, Shrewsbury, Ocean Twp., Tinton Falls and Neptune, among others.

“The bombings are decimating hospitals and apartment buildings, and the Ukrainian people need medical supplies and every kind of basic necessity. Please come to Riverside Gardens Park Friday and 'Stand With Ukraine' to show your support," said Gopal. "We will have information available about what you can do to help."
