Celebrate Women’s History Month at Two River Theater at
21 Bridge Avenue in Red Bankon Sunday, March 23 from 12-4pm for a
vendor fair featuring jewelry, handbags, beauty products and more!
A DAY OF CURLS, CULTURE AND COSTUMES.
Special presentations will include: 12:30-1:45pm: Hair Workshop with
NYC hairstylist Tameeka McNeil Johnson along with Candace Kelley, Founder of Curl Prep Hair Products (sold at Whole Foods Market)
3-4pm: Costume Designer Karen Perry will give audiences a sneak peak
at her process for designing the 1950s period costumes for Trouble in Mind,
and share an overview of her work on other theatrical masterpieces, including Two River’s productions of August Wilson’s Jitney and Two Trains Running.

On Wednesday, March 26, Lorraine Stone & Peter Primavera will
enrich your mind with an informative lecture on T. Thomas Fortune
and the T. Thomas Fortune House located in Red Bank
and the reasons of why we need to save this historical land mark.
It takes place at the Long Branch Library, 328 Broadway, Long Branch, 7PM Presented by THE LONG BRANCH HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION

take in the Dunbar Repertory Company Production of SHAKIN' THE MESS OUTTA MISERY
The story of a young black girl's coming of age in the South in the 1960s. Daughter, the main character and 25-year-old narrator whose
mother died when she was very young, was raised by women in the community, some blood related, some not. When she was 12 years old she began her journey to womanhood guided by these very diverse, nontraditional, older black women.

On Wednesday, April 23 beginning at 7:45PM at Bahrs Landing Restaurant, 2 Bay Avenue, Highlands.
Tom Gibson, a long-time member of NJ Friends of Clearwater and Navesink Maritime Heritage Association and an Adam Hyler skipper, will
describe the Environmental sail program, the Adam Hyler, and the design and build process for the THE NEW NJ CLEARWATER GARVEY.
Note: Bahrs is open for dinner, bar snacks before and after the
presentation.
For over thirty years NJ Friends of Clearwater's the Adam Hyler has been the mainstay of the summer Environmental Sail Program jointly run with NMHA on the Navesink.In 2013, this wooden boat, well past its prime,
was donated to the Tuckerton Museum andin 2014 a NEW garvey is being designed and built jointly by NJ Friends and NMHA. It is hoped that it will
be launched in time for renewing the Environmental Sail Program.
