VIDEO: Falcons Dance-Cheer Teams Rock TF Council

Two teams that came home from Disney World last month with first place national titles performed at the council meeting Tuesday night.

They in December at the Pop Warner Nationals in Disney World and on Tuesday two of the three winning Falcons dance-cheer teams proved why they won at the Borough Council meeting.

"This is one of the best council meetings I've attended," said Council President Gary Baldwin after rousing performances by each team.

Chairs, tables and podiums were quickly pushed out of the way for the mayor and council to honor the teams for their wins and the opportunity to see the girls show off their winning moves.

The Falcons Pee Wee team, made up up of 5th and 6th graders all pretty in pink, high kicked to the "Copacabana."

Three-time national champs the Jr. Midgets team, made up of 7th and 8th graders, bounded into the courtroom and wow'ed the packed house with their precision moves to "Footloose."

The Falcons Midget team, made up of high school students who did not attend the meeting, also was commended by council for its first-place win.

Falcons Pop Warner President Anthony Guarino commended the girls for their wins and pointed out that unlike tradional sports teams, the dance-cheer teams only have two-and-a-half minutes to win.
