Voyagers' Community School Offers Free Summer Fun

Voyagers' Community School offers free summer fun for toddlers, preschoolers, and children ages 5-14. Donate food for Kids Against Hunger.

Looking for activities for your children that are free and fun? Then Voyagers' Community School is the place to be. Rain or shine our staff and students will provide a variety of age-appropriate sessions in Art, Rocketry, Robotics, Sloppy Science, Stage Makeup, Fantasy, Wizardry and Magic, Building with Blocks and other material, outdoor play in our mud kitchen and so much more. Accompany your toddlers and preschoolers or sign in your school age children. Stay while they play, use our wifi and have a cup of coffee or tea on us.

July 19, Open Art - Paint, Draw, and build with glue and found objects

July 26, Outdoor Play - Play in our mud kitchen, run under the sprinklers, blow bubbles and pretend in our playhouses. Indoor activities will be offered in case of rain.

August 2, Costume Party - Wear your favorite costumes, bring other costumes to trade. Let's put on a show.

August 9, Build It - Blocks, sticks, Duplo, trains and tracks, etc. Build away

August 16, Open Art - Paint, Draw, build with glue and found objects

Thursdays, 10 - Noon

July 21, Rocketry - Time to design a rocket and blast off. Learn about aeronautics. Indoor program designed in case of rain.

July 28, Magic & Wizardry - Explore the art of the magician and wizards. Create props for witches and wizards, and magical creatures including a wand, cape, and/or hat. Design a “fairy house” and learn simple magic tricks.

August 4, Open Art Cart - Paint, Draw, and Sculpt with found objects or clay.

August 11, Sloppy, Sticky Science - Get messy and have a chemical breakdown. Create sloppy slime, bubbling chemical reactions and so much more.

August 18 - Mosaic Art - Design a plaque using ceramic, glass, bead, stone, shell and other found material. We will supply material. We do welcome tile, beads, broken dishes, mirrors or other items you would like to bring to share with fellow artists.

July 21, Special Effects Makeup - Bruises, scars, zombies, monsters and theatrical and character makeup

July 28, Robotics - Visit our robot laboratory and explore the exciting world of Robotics using LEGO®. Make your robot come to life. No prior experience necessary. All skill levels welcome.

August 4, Rocketry - Time to design a rocket and blast off. Learn about aeronautics. Indoor program designed in case of rain.

August 11, Mosaic Art - Design a plaque using ceramic, glass, bead, stone, shell and other found material. We will supply material. We do welcome tile, beads, broken dishes, mirrors or other items you would like to bring to share with fellow artists.

August 18, Spy Missions - Crack codes and encrypt messages. Create a disguise and solve a “Who Dunnit”.

Admission is free. The only thing we ask is that you donate, at the door, food or cash to The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. We will all be participating in Camp Kids Against Hunger!
