WATCH: Monmouth County Mayor Threatens, Shouts At Teen: 'Be Careful!'

A video captured the mayor shouting down the teen during a recent meeting.

A callphone video posted on Youtube captured a N.J. mayor shouting down a teen who questioned him about a project.

“How old are you - what are you, like, 15?” the mayor said on the video. ”You’re going to make a comment, an accusation about me?

“He asked a question,” one person said.

“He asked an ignorant question,” the mayor shot back.

The video was taken during an Oct. 14 meeting at the Howell library where residents voiced their opposition to an affordable housing complex.

The Asbury Park Press reported that Howell Mayor William Gotto has since apologized for his behavior after the video of him admonishing 19-year-old Christopher Cohen was posted.

Cohen said his posing a question to the mayor, “Whose pockets are being lined?” is what prompted the response, according to the report.
