Weekslong Construction Closes Part Of Long Branch Boardwalk
The boardwalk will be closed from Melrose Terrace to Morris Avenue.

Parts of the boardwalk in Long Branch have been closed for a weekslong construction Wednesday, the city announced. The boardwalk construction between Melrose Terrace and Morris Avenue will take approximately two weeks, the city said.
The project will power the new carousel's lighting and focus on other beachfront needs such as plumbing. Walkers and runners will not be able to enter the boardwalk at the listed points, and violators will be prosecuted, the city said.
The city will post signs where beach access is still available, they said.
