West Long Branch School District Announces New Principal at Frank Antonides School

Frank Antonides School announces new principal.

West Long Branch, NJ – August 29, 2014 – Superintendent of Schools Thomas Farrell and the West Long Branch School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Fiorillo as the new Principal of Frank Antonides School.

After an extensive search to fill the position, Mr. Fiorillo has been selected and will begin as Principal at Frank Antonides on September 2, 2014. “Mike Fiorillo is a fantastic educator. He is hard-working and very intelligent. His knowledge of the West Long Branch Community and Shore Regional High School will help foster a cohesive and seamless transition for students, as well as collaborative articulation between the staff and administration between the two schools. I am excited to have him lead the Frank Antonides School and help move the West Long Branch School District forward.” said Superintendent of Schools Thomas Farrell.

A native of New Jersey and graduate of Neptune High School High School, Mr. Fiorillo received his B.A. from Montclair State University and his M.A. from The College of New Jersey. He is currently completing his dissertation for his doctorate at St. Peter’s College.

He most recently served as Assistant Principal at our very own Shore Regional High School where he helped implement the school’s 1-to-1 Chromebook initiative and helped establish a “Maker” space focused on technology. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, Mr. Fiorillo served in Neptune as a K-12 Department Supervisor and teacher. Mr. Fiorillo began his career in education as a teacher and high school wrestling coach in Dumont in 2002.

“I feel privileged to join the FAS and West Long Branch community. I look forward to meeting the students, parents, and staff and I am excited to continue to improve our already very successful school”, Mr. Fiorillo said.

Frank Antonides School invites all parents, students, staff, and community members to help welcome the newly appointed Principal at a “Meet-and-Greet” on Tuesday, September 9th from 6:30-8:00PM at the Frank Antonides School Reading Garden.
