• John Carter (PG-13, 2 hours, 12 minutes): Finding Nemo and WALL-E Director Andrew Stanton makes his live action debut with his adaption Edgar Rice Burroughs' book that inspired films such as Star Wars. The movie follows Civil War veteran John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) who is transported to Mars and must fight in war between two alien races. This one is showing in 3D only at Loews, so grab your glasses and tub of popcorn and get ready for what should be this year's first blockbuster.
• Silent House (R, 1 hour, 28 minutes): A horror movie that tells the story of a girl, her father and her uncle who clean up their summer cottage after it is vandalized. The end! Just kidding of course. Inevitably, the house ends up being haunted ad creepy things start happening. Sounds familiar, but could be satisfying for fans of the genre.
• A Thousand Words (PG-13, 1 hour, 31 minutes): A comedic tale about a man (Eddie Murphy) who finds out he can only say 1,000 words before he dies. Doesn't sound too funny to me, but then again, when was the last time Eddie Murphy was in a funny movie?
• Friends With Kids (R, 1 hour, 47 minutes): A solid cast consisting of Jennifer Westfeldt (who also wrote and directed the film), John Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, Maya Rudolph and Chris O'Dowd star in this romatic comedy. The plot basically revolves around a woman (Westfeldt) who convinces her platonic best friend (Scott) to have a child with her. Of course, after they move on with their lives, she begins to fall for him after they begin dating other people. Edward Burns and Megan Fox co-star as Scott and Westfeldt's new lovers.
