$5M Mega Millions Ticket Sold In N.J., Plus Winning Powerball Locations Announced
A $5 million Mega Millions Ticket was sold in New Jersey, and lottery officials also announced the winning Powerball ticket locations.

A $5 million Mega Millions Ticket was sold in New Jersey, and lottery officials also announced the winning Powerball ticket locations.
One ticket was sold that matched the five white balls and the Mega Ball drawn, winning the $5 million second-tier prize for the Friday drawing, according to lottery officials.
That ticket was sold at The Gift Horse at 174 Stelton Road in Piscataway in Middlesex County.

A New Hampshire lottery ticket, meanwhile, matched all the balls drawn for the Saturday Powerball drawing, winning the $487 million jackpot.
Seven New Jersey Lottery tickets were sold that matched the four white balls and the Powerball drawn, each winning the $50,000 third prize. Two of those winning tickets were purchased from the same retailer.

The winning tickets were sold in:
- Atlantic County: Passion Vines, 3013 Ocean Heights Ave., Egg Harbor Twp.;
- Cape May County: Country Club Tavern, 1512 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House;
- Middlesex County: Quick Buy NJ, 1950 Route 27, Edison;
- Passaic County: Broadway Wine & Liquors, 62 Broadway, Passaic;
- Somerset County: (Two winning tickets were sold from this store) 7-Eleven #11446, 218 Mercer St., Somerville; and
- Union County: EZ Quick Food Store, 381 Morris Ave., Elizabeth
In addition, 156,924 New Jersey players took home an estimated $776,173 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
The winning numbers for the Saturday drawing were: 11, 17, 21, 23 and 32. The Red Power Ball number was 05. The Multiplier number was 02.
“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. "These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”
In addition, four Mega Millions tickets were sold that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball, each winning the $5,000 third-tier prize.
One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $25,000. Those winning tickets were purchased at the following locations:
- Essex County: US Postal Center, 146 B Ferry St., Newark, $25,000 winner;
- Camden County: 7-Eleven #10921, 5691 Cuthbert Blvd. & 216 Wisteria, Cherry Hill;
- Middlesex County: Quick Stop Food Store, 1665 Stelton Road, Piscataway; and
- Passaic County: 7-Eleven #25906 (N), 90 Goffle Road, Hawthorne
In addition, 29 tickets sold matched the four white balls winning $500 each. Two of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $2,500 each. Moreover, 69,482 other New Jersey players took home $149,663 in prizes ranging from $1 to $250, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
The winning numbers for the Friday, July 29 drawing were: 11, 16, 19, 31 and 48. The Gold Mega Ball was 04, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 05. The Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $25,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 11 p.m.
Powerball and Mega Millions drawings can be seen on WABC TV stations. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
