Back To School: Long Valley 2022-23 School Calendar

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Long Valley area, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Washington Township Public School District.

The first day of school for grades 1-8 students is Thursday, Sept. 1. Students in high school will start a little earlier, with their first official day on Aug. 24.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its two-and-a-half-year mark.

The Washington Township School District has made no announcements regarding a change in mask policy for students in school or on school buses, regardless of vaccination status.

Mask wearing will remain optional for all staff and students.

• Rosh Hashana: Sept. 26
• Yom Kippur: Oct. 5
