Beloved Fishing Derby Returning To Long Valley
The free event will feature prizes, food, and of course, fishing.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Young anglers will have a chance to cast a line, win prizes and spend a morning outdoors when the Washington Township PBA hosts its annual Fishing Derby later this month.
The free event is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at Koehler's Pond on Rock Road. The derby is open to Washington Township and Califon residents ages 12 and younger.
Organizers say the event is designed to introduce children to fishing while giving families an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and connect with local police officers and community members.
