Boy Scout Troop 236 awards Double Bronze Palms to Eagle Scout

Collin Petronella set a new record for Boy Scout Troop 236, Schooley’s Mountain, when he received a Double Bronze Palm awarded during the Troops Court of Honor on June 19th, 2017 at Saint Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Long Valley. After a Scout earns the rank of Eagle Scout, which requires 21 merit badges, a Scout can earn a Palm which requires three additional months of service and five additional merit badges for each Palm. Collin earned the rank of Eagle Scout in April 2015 and completed the requirements for a total of 41 merit badges. Collin has completed the Palm requirements four times to earn Bronze, Gold, Silver and Double Bronze Palms.
