On Saturday, November 30, a total of 57 Scouts, adult leaders, alumni Scouts, parents, siblings and friends of Boy Scout Troop 236 showed up to support the annual Washington Township “Sponsor a Wreath” fundraiser for the town’s food pantry. The volunteers hung over 300 wreaths on the fences along East Mill Road and Bartley Road in Long Valley. The fifty-seven Troop 236 volunteers were also joined by volunteers from Scout Troop 336 and by volunteers from West Morris Central High School’s Habitat for Humanity students, who hung an additional 86 wreaths on the fences along Schooleys Mountain Road and Newberg Road in Long Valley. This is the 18th consecutive year that Boy Scout Troop 236 has supported the Sponsor a Wreath program. If you are interested in supporting this fundraiser for the food pantry the suggested donation is $20.
