Boy Scout Troop 236 visits Valley Forge National Park

Boy Scout Troop 236 visits Valley Forge National Park

Members of Boy Scout Troop 236 camped during the weekend of November 18 at BSA Camp Delmont at the Musser Scout Reservation in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. On Saturday, the troop visited the nearby Valley Forge National Historical Park to learn about the encampment of the American Continental Army during the harsh winter of 1778-1779. Though clearly not as severe as our forebears endured 240 years before, the Scouts battled rain while completing a 10 mile Historic Trail hike. As a result, members of the troop earned a trail medal and a deep appreciation for the hardships our ancestors faced during the struggle for our Nation's Independence.
