Business Owner, Long Valley Resident Dies at 79

'Drew' Holl was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Andrew “Drew” Holl loved life and took full advantage of its offerings.

The longtime Long Valley resident died Thursday, July 16 at the age of 79.

Holl moved from Montclair to Long Valley 28 years ago. Holl was a Sporting Art Appraiser and salesman for his company Drew Holl Associates, and was the former owner of Crossroads of Sport in New York City.

Holl was a member of Long Valley’s Anglers Anonymous and Ducks Unlimited. He was known from his ability to tell a joke or funny story and made friends wherever he went.

Holl was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed upland game hunting. He and his wife, Popy, took trips to Africa, Holland, Ireland, Alaska, and Scotland for hunting and fishing.

Holl is survived by his wife of 49 years, a niece, and nephew.

A 10:30 a.m. funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 20, at St. Mark’s Church in Long Valley.

All arrangements have been made by William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road, Chester, NJ.
