On Saturday, November 21st, from 9:00 AM to noon, the Washington Township Green Team is holding a used bike and sewing machine collection drive in support of Pedals for Progress. The drive’s location will be in the rear parking lot of the Long Valley Presbyterian Church, located at 39 Bartley Rd. All bikes and sewing machines collected will be shipped overseas to developing countries to be used for transportation and businesses. A donation of $20 per item is requested to help defer the shipping costs .Bikes should be rust free and sewing machines in working condition. If you’ve been wondering what you are going to do with that bike that has been taking up space in your garage for years this drive is the perfect win-win solution for you.
