E. Vincent Panella

Former D&N Animal Recovery owner and long time Long Valley resident dies at age 83

Vince Panella, longtime resident of Long Valley, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the age of 83. Vince was the former owner of D&N Animal Recovery, served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Trustee at Valley View Chapel. An avid outdoorsman, hunter, trapper, horticulturist, and wildlife conservationist, Vince was one of the five founding members of the N.J. Trapper Association as well as a President of the Game Bird Breeders Association, Chairman of the Long Valley Shade Tree Commission, and actively practiced Forestry Management on his beloved home acreage. In addition to raising three children with his wife, Barbara, Vince’s passion for wildlife found him also raising quail, pheasant, wild turkey and among other wildlife…skunks for pets. His trademark laugh was recognized by many, and he brought humor wherever he went - - whether you liked it or not. Vince leaves behind his wife, Barbara; daughter, Monique (Vinski); sons, Justin and Michele (daughter in law) and Brent and Sarah (daughter in law) ; 9 grandchildren, Moriah and Zach Miller, Pierce and Abby Vinski, Casey, Mia, and Justin, Brynn and Easton; 1 great grandson, Steele Vinski. Vince is already so dearly missed by both his family and many friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 30, at Valley View Chapel, 115 East Mill Rd, Long Valley, NJ 07853. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Valley View Chapel Missions or Wounded Warrior
