Ex-Bagel Shop Boss Sexually Touched Young Workers: Mt. Olive Cops

A former supervisor at a local bagel store is accused of sexually touching three young male employees, Mount Olive Police said.

BUDD LAKE, NJ — A former Budd Lake bagel shop supervisor has been arrested for inappropriately touching young male employees. According to the Mount Olive Police Department, 58-year-old Bajram F. Leka of Blairstown was a supervisor at Adams Hot Bagels and Grill when he allegedly touched the three juveniles.

A manager for the store, who didn't provide his name, said Leka is no longer employed there. Neither do the three juveniles, he added, for "other, personal reasons."

Two of the boys reported the touching at police headquarters Sunday afternoon, police said. During the investigation, they found another boy who was allegedly touched inappropriately.

Leka turned himself into police and was charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact. He was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility and has an upcoming court hearing.

A man who identified himself as Leka's son told The Daily Record he and other restaurant staff were stunned by the charges. Leka Sr. would not be at the restaurant upon release from jail.

Two accusers accompanied by a parent went to Mount Olive police headquarters on Sunday to report that Leka massaged and touched their shoulders and upper bodies while they were working, according to the report. Leka allegedly commented on their muscles and strength before the touching turned sexual and he touched their groins over their clothing with the back of his hand, according to the report.

Authorities reached out to a third teenager who the two accusers said was also touched by Leka, according to the report, and the youth told police he was also touched and massaged by Leka, who commented on his strength, before he back-handed his groin at least three times.
