Former Long Valley Resident, First Aid Squad Auxiliary Member Dies at 92
Helen Backer is survived by six great grandchildren.

Helen Backer spent much of her 92 years living in the Long Valley and Chester area, giving her time and working in the schools.
The Holly Manor Center resident in Mendham died recently at age 92, according to her obituary.
Backer was born in 1922 in Peapack. She previously lived in Chester and Long Valley, and worked as a food service employee for both the Chester and Washington Township boards of education. She was also a member of the Long Valley First Aid Squad Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
