Free Ayurveda Workshop at Washington Twp. Library

Health & Wellness Coach Marian Carroll will offer a workshop on Ayurveda, one of the world's oldest known wellness systems

LONG VALLEY -- On Tuesday, March 19th at 7 p.m. Washington Township Public Library will offer a free Ayurveda workshop. Ayurveda is one of the world's oldest known wellness systems, encompassing all aspects of medicine, herbology, surgery and psychiatry. Originating in India over 5000 years ago, Ayurveda is actively practiced around the world today. Following Ayurvedic principles, people are first classified into one of three body types: Kapha (Spring), Pitta (Summer) or Vata (Winter). Then, diet and health advice are based in large measure on the person's predominant body type. This workshop, led by Health & Wellness Coach Marian Carroll, explores which Ayurvedic category best fits your personality and will offer some specific recommendations and guidelines to best support the corresponding dietary and lifestyle needs. Registration is requested at wtpl.org or by calling the library at 908-876-3596. Washington Township Public Library is located at 37 E. Springtown Rd., Long Valley, NJ 07853.
