Free Information Sessions for Job Seekers
Washington Twp. Public Library is offering three live sessions over Zoom with career coach Carol Camerino

LONG VALLEY - To help people stay connected and active from the safety of their home, Washington Township Public Library is now offering free online programs over Zoom. Those newly navigating the job market are encouraged to join us next week for one of three sessions. Carol Camerino, a multi-certified career coach, job search specialist, and resume writer, will present resume and job search information and support specially geared for the unique needs of three groups of jobseekers: new grads, current job seekers, and people returning to paid employment. These three sessions will be fast-paced and info-packed, with time for Q&A at the end. Details are provided below. Please be sure to register so we can email you a link to attend.

The job search landscape is more challenging for the Class of 2020 – and this 1 hour session will provide must-have information for planning and executing a successful strategic job search action plan. Participants will walk away with several tips and insights, including:
- Resumes: what to include and what to omit, best practices, proofreading, the importance of customizing, action verbs, layouts, and more...
- LinkedIn and Social Media: creating compelling profiles, portfolio sites, social media audits, and more…
- Job Search Strategy: job searching beyond the job boards, networking, follow up, cover letters, time management, virtual interviewing, and more...
Job Search Launch-Reset

If you’ve been in search mode and haven’t consistently been gaining traction, this hour-long program will provide ideas for assessing and adapting your strategy to increase your success rate.
OR If you’re in the beginning stages of a job search, this session will help you to develop a strategic plan based using the most current information and strategies.
Topics covered include: resume best practices for getting interviews, leveraging your network in an authentic and positive way, the power of LinkedIn and a persuasive profile, why storytelling matters in interviews, following up, and why job boards can be PART of a strategic job search plan…but NOT the entire plan.
