Free Medicare Savings Workshop Offered To Long Valley Residents
Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about Medicare fraud, abuse and scams, as well as available Medicare bill assistance.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — For those who are new to Medicare or want to learn more about it, the Washington Township Recreation Department is hosting a free Medicare workshop.
Trained benefit specialists will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss the decisions you'll need to make, such as the fundamentals of Medicare coverage, private health and drug coverage options, and public benefits that can help with health care costs.
The program will take place on July 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Twp. Senior Center, 35 East Springtown Road, Long Valley.

Lisa Pino, MIPPA Coordinator/SHIP Counselor from Norwescap, Inc., will lead the workshop. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about general updates, Medicare fraud, abuse, and scams, and available assistance with Medicare bills.
Norwescap is a New Jersey-based organization whose mission is to strengthen communities by creating opportunities that improve the lives of low-income individuals and families. "Our vision is to assist in the creation of a community that transforms poverty into opportunity," Norwescap said.

Registration is required by July 13, 2022. Participants are asked to fill out the registration form as well as the Covid-19 Acknowledgement Form.
"As you enjoy a free light bagged snack, you will sit in on the very helpful presentation not only for Medicare Recipients but Caregivers as well," Washington Township Recreation said.
The workshop is designed to explain and clarify the Medicare signup process and educate attendees on how to make smart choices.
