"Free Self-Defense Classes for 5th thru 8th grades"

Washington township Recreation

“Self-Defense should not be a scary thing; it should make you feel smarter and stronger.” The feeling of empowerment and confidence can be taught through instruction and this is why Washington Township Police Department and Recreation, would like to continue to offer “Self-Defense Classes” for grades 5th thru 8th.

These classes will continue where we left off last year demonstrating physical techniques, security tips, and how to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Instructor, Sergeant Brian Bigham will exhibit helpful information that teaches a mix of physical skills and life lessons. This FREE two day session takes place on Tuesday, February 26, 2018 and March 5th from 5:00pm- 6:00pm at the Washington Township Headquarters. We have limited space available, so please register before January 22, 2019 to reserve a spot.

For more information and to obtain a registration form, please contact the Recreation office at (908) 876-5941 or email us at recreation@wtmorris.net or visit our website at www.wtmorris.org.
