Garden Club of Long Valley Receives Grants

GCLV Maintains Long Valley Municipal Gardens

To help with their work to plant and maintain the municipal gardens in Washington Township, the Garden Club of Long Valley received two grants of gardening tools and supplies this spring. As a member of the National Garden Club, Inc., the GCLV was eligible for grants from The Ames Companies, Inc. and Espoma's ‘Plant America’ Grant Program.

The Ames Companies, the largest manufacturer of garden tools in the U.S., generously awarded approximately $250 worth of gardening tools to the GCLV for their use in youth gardening projects and for planting and maintaining municipal gardens in Washington Township.

In addition, the Garden Club of Long Valley was awarded Espoma's ‘Plant America’ Grant Program Grants for $250 of Espoma products. Espoma is the premier provider of organic plant foods and potting soils, which were put to good use in the municipal planters and gardens this year.
