The tournament is also U.S. Youth Soccer accredited, allowing for older teams to earn points toward their national rankings.
Like so many great events in Washington Township, the entire tournament is run completely by volunteers, with proceeds benefitting the Long Valley Soccer Club. In the past, proceeds have helped pay for a storage shed at Harrington Field, equipment for the soccer fields, and free goalie training for all of the club’s participants. In addition, the Club is also able to provide support for families with financial hardship to allow their children to continue playing soccer with their friends in town, and the LVUSC provides an annual scholarship to West Morris Central seniors who have been part of the LVUSC and Central soccer teams in the past.
