"The Joy of Backyard Bird Feeding" at Washington Twp. Library

Jim Walker and Pete Axelrod, of Wild Birds Unlimited, present this free program on Thursday, February 13 at 7 p.m.

LONG VALLEY -- Washington Township Public Library will host "The Joy of Backyard Bird Feeding" on Thursday, February 13th at 7 p.m. Attracting birds is a great way to bring nature up close and into your backyard. As it is easy to attract up to 32 different species of native birds to a backyard, bird feeding will provide hours of entertainment. This program covers the different varieties of food and feeder options that attract the widest array of species, best practices of backyard feeding, solutions to nuisance birds and animals as well as tips on making your yard “bird friendly." This program is presented by Jim Walker and Pete Axelrod of Wild Birds Unlimited. It is free and open to the public, but registration is requested at wtpl.org or by calling the library at 908-876-3596.
