Library Hosts Virtual Lecture Series on 2020 Election
Washington Twp. Public Library will host a 4-part virtual lecture series with political science professor and pollster Dr. Krista Jenkins

LONG VALLEY - Washington Township Public Library is pleased to announce a 4-part lecture series entitled "The Perilous Road to 2020 Amidst a Pandemic." The series will be led by Dr. Krista Jenkins , Professor of Political Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Director of PublicMind, FDU’s Survey Research Institute.
Join Dr. Jenkins for a discussion of this most unusual presidential election! We'll be discussing how the pandemic is likely to affect the campaigns, mobilization and turnout, and the candidates themselves. Additionally, Dr. Jenkins is a pollster as well as a professor. We will be revisiting the 2016 election and discussing what pollsters learned from their experiences back then.Dr. Jenkins likes to keep her presentations loose and welcomes feedback and questions in order to ensure everyone leaves having learned something new and of genuine interest.
Sessions will be held Fridays, October 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 10:30 a.m., live over Zoom. Recordings will also be available for those unable to attend live. The series is underwritten by the Friends of the Library as part of its Lifetime Learning program. The cost for the series is $25 for Friends members and $30 for non-members.
