Live Wires Trapped Person Inside Truck After Long Valley Crash
The first aid squad has responded to several incidents Wednesday morning, and ask drivers to stay off the roads.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Downed live wires trapped a person inside their truck after an early morning crash in Long Valley, the Long Valley First Aid Squad said.
The driver crashed into a pole on Schooley's Mountain Road around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday, knocking it and the live wires down. When first responders arrived, the driver was still inside the car with the wires on top of it. JCP&L isolated power while EMS and rescue squads worked to get the driver out.
The crash temporarily knocked out power to nearly 1,700 homes in the area. As of press time, power was restored to all but 48 homes.
