Local Guide To The Fall Festival At Ort Farms In Long Valley
Ort Farms is jam-packed with full fall-themed events ranging from Oktoberfest to Apple Picking and a Halloween Boo Bash.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Apple picking is one of the best parts of late summer and early fall, and Ort Farms will open their apple orchard to kick off the start of all their fall-themed events for the entire family the first week of September.
Starting on Sept. 1, Ort Farms, on 25 Bartley Road, will open their apple orchard to the public until Sept. 20, when the picking season concludes.
Entrance to the farm is $10, which includes access to the orchard as well as all other farm amenities such as the kid's play area, the sunflower trail, corn maze and friendly farm animals.

The much-anticipated pumpkin patch will open on Sept. 18 and will remain open until Oct. 31 for the fall season. Beginning Sept. 25, family fun amenities such as cow train rides, apple cannon, pony rides, horse-drawn carriage rides and monster truck rides will also be included in the admission price.
The cost of admission does not include the purchase of sunflower stems, apples, or pumpkins. They are available for purchase when you arrive at the farm.

The pricing is as follows:
- U-Cut Sunflowers: $2 per bloom, 3 for $5
- Apple Pricing: You can purchase a 1/4 peck bag for $6 or 1/2 peck for $11. You must be able to tie the bag closed.
- Pumpkin Pricing: $.70 per lb
Ort Farms has also planned special community events throughout the fall, such as a food truck festival with Jersey Girl Brewery. The festival is planned for Sept. 10 and will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the Ort Farms website.
In the month of October, Ort Farms is planning on hosting their very own Oktoberfest celebration in collaboration with Czigmeister Brewery. The celebrations are scheduled for October 2 and 3.
Ort Farms will close out the season with a Halloween "Boo Bash," which is planned for Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.
Tickets include access to all of the pick-your-own fields, as well as all other farm amenities. The tickets are non-refundable. However, if you miss your scheduled day, you can visit the festival on another day and your tickets will be honored.
