Long Valley Boy Scout Troop 236 cleans up the Raritan River during Earth day

On Saturday, April 22, Troop 236 of Long Valley participated in the Raritan Headwaters Association Earth Day clean-up of the North Branch of the Raritan River. A total of 30 Scouts and family members removed the recyclables and trash from the stretch of the river running along the Columbia Trail from Bartley Road to Four Bridges Road. Thirty-six bags of trash/recyclables along with larger items such as three car tires, a car battery, a child’s sand box and numerous plastic buckets were removed from the trail and river banks.
