Long Valley Football Player Honored As A Top Scholar Athlete
Trey Zgombic was honored by the Greater Morris County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame last week.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Long Valley resident and Delbarton senior was honored as a top Scholar Athlete by the Greater Morris County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame last week.
Trey Zgombic was honored by the foundation at a dinner last week for an outstanding football and academic career while at Delbarton.

Trey had an outstanding football career for the Green Wave. A three-year starter at tight end & defensive end, Trey's athleticism, work ethic and leadership were a huge reason for the success of the team. Trey barely left the field, as he also contributed significantly to many special teams. A true scholar-athlete, Trey has pursued his academics with a passion and purpose equal to his football excellence. Trey is universally admired by his teachers, coaches and peers for his courageous leadership and selfless personality.
Zgombic was a three year starter, and will continue his career at the College of William & Mary come fall.
