
William “Billy” Ochs loved sports, photography, and cooking. But most of all, he loved his family.
The Long Valley resident of the last 13 years died suddenly Thursday, July 23. He was 52.
Born in June 1963 in Bayonne, Ochs lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Long Valley. He graduated from Pace University and was a project manager for Sprint.

Ochs was a U.S. Soccer Referee at the high school and collegiate levels.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Tami, and three children: Sam, Matt, and Liz. He’s also survived by two sisters and a loving extended family.

A Celebration of Billy’s life will include visitation on Saturday, July 25 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the William J. Leber Funeral Home at 15 Furnace Road in Chester.
A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held Sunday, July 26 at the funeral home.
Memorial donations to the college funds of Ochs’ three children may be mailed to PNC Bank, c/o The Ochs Family, 67 East Mill Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853.
