Long Valley Resident Sally Hefferon Passes Away

Sally Ann Hefferon (nee Giblin), 81, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Sally was born on June 3, 1936 in New York City, NY. She has lived in Long Valley for the past few years but was previously a long time resident of Massapequa Park, NY.

Sally loved trivia, especially playing Jeopardy, and was a ferocious reader. She had a huge, sassy personality and was always smiling. She had a great sense of humor and was a jokester. Sally also was a very generous person.

Sally is survived by her children, Geralyn Hickey and husband Dave, Richard Hefferon, and Michael Hefferon and wife Diane, her grandchildren, Sarah, Anna, Ashley, Ryan and Lauren, her brother, Michael Giblin, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Hefferon.

A Celebration of Sally’s Life will include a visitation on Sunday December 17, 2017 from 6pm to 9pm at the William J Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A 1pm funeral service will be held on Monday, December 18 at Grace Church on the Mount, 1500 US-46, Netcong, NJ 07857. Interment will be held privately by the family.
