Longtime Long Valley Man, Army Vet Dies At 67

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – Stephen Griffin had a creative mind and always pursued new and interesting things.

The longtime Long Valley resident died on Valentine’s Day at the age of 67.

Griffin was a self-employed builder for more than 40 years until he retired in 2010. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1970 to 1972.

Griffin was dedicated to his family and loved the ocean and the beach. He was a craftsman and collector.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie, and his son Matthew.
