Hunter Injured Falling 18 Feet Out Of Tree In Mount Olive
The man was airlifted to a nearby hospital for serious injuries.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — A Mount Olive hunter was seriously injured after he fell 18 feet out of a tree stand, Mount Olive Police Chief Steven Beecher said on Friday.
The 56-year-old man, who was not named, went into the woods behind his Saunders Lane home around noon on Thursday to set up a tree stand in preparation for a hunt, Beecher said. A family member reported him missing around 6 p.m. that evening when multiple calls to his cell phone went unanswered.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 searched the woods and heard a "faint yell" for help. Officers found the man laying at the base of a tree, having fallen 18 feet from his tree stand. He was conscious and alert, but seriously injured, Beecher said.
