Fatal Accident Closes Multiple Lanes On Route 80 Friday Afternoon
Breaking: Your evening commute might take more time than usual.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — A fatal traffic accident has closed multiple westbound lanes and one eastbound lane of Route 80 Friday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. A pickup truck with a trailer overturned on the center median. The left and center westbound lanes are closed, as is the "fast lane" eastbound, Roxbury Police said, and NJ511 is reporting 45-minute delays.
The Hopatcong Fire Department confirmed that the accident was fatal and that both directions of traffic are affected.

Jim Byrne, who was driving on Route 80 at the time of the accident, said traffic going east was affected as well. He said the accident was near mile-marker 28 and that he saw multiple cars.
