Networking Group is Making Strides

A NJ Networking Group called “Positive Connections for Success” is raising awareness and money for Breast Cancer by participating in the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk in Parsippany, NJ on October 21, 2018. This year’s walk has AVON as the National Presenting Sponsor.

The “Positive Connections for Success” team is supporting our member Katelyn Tiernan, who is a Community Development Manager with the American Cancer Society. She organized the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Parsippany” walk made up of 265 teams and over $158,000 has been raised so far. There is 19 more days until we walk! That’s plenty of time to get involved and donate.

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it's most treatable. Positive Connections for Success is a more relaxed and personal networking group for business professionals looking to build relationships and grow their business through referrals. We are an industry specific group meaning only one member per industry is allowed. We focus on building relationships and trust to become referral partners. We learn about each member’s businesses and how we can help articulate to others about our network partners. The group meets every other week in a round table discussion format where every member gets to participate as a leader of the group. Each meeting follows a structured meeting agenda including a one-minute elevator pitch, business presentations and a brainstorming session.

Our motto is "We Refer Business Partners, Not Business Cards!"
