Passion for Music Earns WMC Senior County Accolade

Kevin Donald is one of 14 students from Morris to be named a Musician of the Month.

Kevin Donald is ending his high school career as a leader, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The West Morris Central musician was named one of the Mayo Performing Arts Center’s Music Students of the Month for December. He was nominated by Margret Schaefer.

In her nomination, Schaefer said of Donald, “As a classical musician, Kevin’s clear, warm sound and strong technique motivate his peers and provide a tasteful and musically appropriate example for the other students in the band. In Jazz Band, Kevin’s sense of style and skillful improvising raise the level of the ensemble. Kevin’s dedication and his passion and love for music shine through every time he plays his horn.”
