Long Valley Seniors Can Register Now For The Annual Thanksgiving Celebration

The deadline to register for the annual senior Thanksgiving celebration is Nov. 8.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Though October’s only begun, Thanksgiving is on the horizon, with Washington Township’s Recreation Department having opened registration for the 2021 Annual Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon.

Planned for Monday, Nov. 15, beginning at 11 a.m., the luncheon is hosted by the Recreation Department at the Valley View Chapel on 115 East Mill Road.

The luncheon offers dine-in and to-go options, with all of the usual Thanksgiving centerpieces and trimmings, including: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, a vegetable, candied yams, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls with butter and dessert to top it all off.

Seniors dining in-person can enjoy the event’s featured entertainer, “Magic of Marco.”

For in-person or take-out dining, seniors need to register by Nov. 8, with the meal $11.50 for residents and $13 for non-residents.

For those who would like to pay online, they should click here. Payment by check should be to “WT Recreation” and mailed to: Washington Township Recreation at 50 Rock Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853.
