Remembering A Long Valley Resident Lost On 9/11

Debra Lynn Fischer Gibbon was the only Long Valley resident killed on 9/11. Read about her life here.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Debra Lynn Fischer Gibbon died sixteen years ago today while working in the World Trade Center. She was the only Long Valley Resident to die that day.

According to an obituary shared by legacy.com, Fischer was highly respected in her job, and a devoted mother. She worked at AON, and was a registered nurse.

While working full time, Fischer made time for her children's soccer games, and loved spending time with her extended family in Lavallette.

She is currently survived by two of her children Zachary and Heather, who are now in their 30s. Her son Adam passed away in 2011.
